The Institute of Physical Art, in conjunction with The Functional Manual Therapy Foundation is pleased to offer an APTA/AAOMPT credentialed year long fellowship program. This is one of only 17 such credentialed sites in the United States. Therapists that have successfully passed the rigorous CFMT certification can apply for the fellowship program.
The purpose of the FMT Fellowship is to provide an intensely mentored one to three year on-site or flexible clinical fellowship in orthopedic functional manual therapy for experienced physical therapists who have obtained CFMT designation from the Institute of Physical Art's Functional Manual Therapy certification program to accelerate their training.
OVERVIEW OF THE FUNCTIONAL MANUAL THERAPY FELLOWSHIP
- One-year Fellowship with extensive one-on-one mentorship in Functional and orthopedic Manual Therapy.
- Received APTA/AAOMPT Credentialing May 2007.
- Initiated at Johnson & Johnson Physical Therapy, Steamboat Springs, CO in 1998 under the direction of the Institute of Physical Art.
- Fourteen graduates from the Fellowship program; nine have successfully become Fellows of the American academy.
